Poem (Flanders Fields)

Here is a poem I wrote for Flanders Fields.  I hope you like it.

Flanders field poem

They fought in battle

As they heard guns rattle,

They fought for me

They fought for you, as the poppies blew

And still people live in pain.

Hoping the war won’t start again,

They are now gone,

Giving time to mourn

As they rest peacefully in Flanders fields.
